Kaye @ Affinity Photography insists on giving you a professional, high-quality hands-on customised service will leave you with amazing photographs that truly capture your life. Kaye has 20+ years of experience as a professional photographer and is so passionate about creating connection and a sense of belonging with your wall art. Your session is completely tailored to suit you with a planning session, a fun, relaxed, directed, posed, candid, creative session, and then personal guidance to help you choose and stylise your images.

What should we wear?

This is one of the very important and often asked questions. We will definitely talk about clothing style and colours when we customise your session. This must not only suit your home decore, business branding, but must incorporate your personal style.

What happens if I have COVID or waiting for a test result

As a boutique photographer, I’m very conscious about keeping well for you, me and others. If you feel unwell at all with COVID or flu, or anything, please get in touch and we can reschedule, or zoom a pre- customisation if appropriate.

Can I have my session at my home or the park nearby?

Of course. Affinity Photography offers location sessions as well as in the POP UP Studio. Some parks and locations require permits and fees (such as the Melbourne Botanical Gardens, Werribee Mansion). If you choose to have your session at one of these locations, you must obtain the necessary permit and pay required fees.

What if I don’t like what you’ve taken?

I get it, photography is a subjective medium and I have a style I’ve developed over the last 2 decades. Every photographer is not for everyone. Generally we’ll know before your session if I’m not your person, but I hope we do connect as I love what I do and have a personal mission to create amazing images and wall art for as many people and families as I possibly can. I have a 100% money back guarantee, with conditions of course to make it fair for all. Please see it here

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we can work out what suits you best. I can also invoice through Paypal so you can apply for their pay-in-four option.

What’s the difference between edited images and retouched images?

Great question! I have been a professional image editor and retoucher for 18 years. Different photographers really do have different opinions about this. I believe editing is the correct colour balance, colour correction, with signature enhancements, in the style of images that I produce. This includes but not limited to luminosity, tone, kelvin balance, vibrancy, saturation. As a photographer gains experience, they gain a style and editing is part of that. Retouching is manipulation of the image. This can be removing or adding obects, or changing objects in an image, My popular retouching images is my signature ‘Monday morning fresh look’ for corporate and business - relaxed and fresh, but you will still look like YOU! Home wall art needs to be amazing - I clear up that pimple that appeared overnight, distraction in backgrounds, remove bird poo, cigarette buts, rubbish cans, stray hair, those wrinkles no one likes to see. Only if asked, do I retouch things like removing birthmarks, skinned knees on kids (part of who they are at the time), eczema, scars, eye symetry, teeth gaps, etc. - retouching hair roots and nail polish will absolutely cost you extra, lol.

Business Sessions - Can I have more images than in my package?

Yes! I will take more than enough images to choose from. Although packages come with a set number of final images, you have an option to add more on a sliding scale.

What if I need to reshedule?

Ahhh, life! Even the best layed plans may need to be … adjusted. When you book, the $165 booking fee will secure your time and date. You can reschedule more than 14 days out to whenever there is availability in the calendar - please call or email and we can find a great new time for you. Less than 14 days, I allow for 1 reschedule without forfeiting the booking fee. Please note that during busy times, I can be booked out a fair way in advance, especially on weekends.
